We started off today chasing the sun, as it peeked at us through the rain and clouds all morning. But with Auntie MyMy to do hair, a basket of toys to play with, an iPad, iPhone, and plenty of Leap Pad games at your fingertips, even a rain delay doesn't thwart vacation fun.
We have to eat snacks on the lanai instead of go outside? NBD.
Keep tryin', babydahl! Someday you'll catch your gull :)
And then, a while later, a bit more brave:
Way to be a brave Wave Chaser! :)
One little girl, one big ocean!
So instead of wasting time chasing waves, she was chasing sandcastles:
And if you can't find someone to build castles with, get your sister to "bake cakes and pies" with you.
Laying the groundwork for a good castle.
Just in case I wouldn't know what to do if someone tried to steal things.
Finally, she enlisted Nana's help and got her Drizzle Castle goin' on:
Happy as a clam :)
In case you are curious, these castles were later destroyed by Destructor Ellery in order to make mountains (as per all the great destructors in history).
While the little girls were chasing their "dreams," Auntie MyMy was chasing her own treasures:
A rare Tiger's Eye! (we found a bunch of these today - thanks rain!:)
Eventually, we were chasing something much more tangible:
Yay! The goodie cart!
Take 'er down to the stick, Little Doozle.
So there you have it - today's activities. Besides not feeling good and being exhausted, the best picture from the day is on mom's ginormo camera and I can't download it to this computer (omg - don't.even.ask.) AND blogspot has been acting ridiculously horrendous. It's a testament to my stubbornness that this post is finished without curse words (typed out, at least :)
Good Friday, everyone! :)
