It has been so long since I last signed in to blogspot, I forgot my password, y'all. For someone who wrote eight blogs in August, September has been lacking (two, I think? La-ame. And October's nearly over...) Don't worry, I remembered the password, but the fact that I had to stop and think made me realize this: I've been a really sucky blogger this fall. Many of you probably don't care and maybe quite appreciate the hiatus, but I feel like it's my duty to put my mindless blathering and gorgeous kid pics out there. So here it is, a blog about September. Because now it is October - MID to END OF October. And it's about time.
Also of note, Blogger has been RIDICULOUSLY and HEINOUSLY awful, in words I can't describe on a family blog. Seriously, Google, how can you make something that sucks so bad? Google search = amazingly good. Google blogspot = terriblysuckyawful. But I digress...
So what did we do in September?
We let the kids do some painting:
| I think maybe Tanner painted Ellery's face. Not sure, though. |
And while tooling around north of Denver with PawPaw & Riri, we stumbled upon Longmont's Oktoberfest:
| Random, eh? But John scored some nice aviators :) |
While there, TK got her face painted - superfun 4-year-old stuff!
(not so much if you are 20 months old, however) |
We ate doughnuts at PawPaw & Riri's hotel:
| A face only..EVERYONE...could love. |
Also while PawPaw & Riri were in Denver, we (being the adults) all went to Brew at the Zoo - talk about fun! It was the best year yet for good foods and beer! (but not for pictures, apparently...)
We also did some gymnastics at Tanner's gymnastics "studio," courtesy of her friend Heather's birthday party:
| Look at that form. Perfect 10, says the USA Mom Judge! |
| Her feet are not quite tight. 9.5 |
| And a 10 again from the wonderful Tanner Kay! |
| Ellery's specialty is the uneven bars. |
| I challenge any adult to try this maneuver. Somehow at 20 months, it looks easy. |
We ate lollipops:
| We meaning "Ellery." I'm not sure this was a mom-approved sucker, btw... |
And last but definitely not least, we took some baths:
| Sporting their stylish new facinators. |
| I think she looks like a cute, little, bubble angel here. My money's on that she's up to something mischevious, however. |
So that's it. That's all we did. Except that it's NOT all we did - it can't be - because we were really busy. In fact, so busy that the only busier month I can think of is October, 2011, in which we have something on the calendar every. single. day. In some ways, this is really awesome; in some ways, it is really not; but it all ways it's how we're spending our life this fall!
Hopefully, every now and again, I can even squeeze in a blog. Or two. :)
