Strawberries, Sweet for the Pickin'

What is better than fresh strawberries?  Sweet Strawberry Hurli-girls, that's what!

For what is sure to be the first in a long line of coordinating costumes, this year Tanner was Strawberry Shortcake and Ellery was the cutest little strawberry you've ever seen.  I still got to pick the costumes, but it was a tough sell (thank goodness McDonald's gave Tanner a Strawberry Shortcake plastic toy so I could really hype up how neat Strawberry Shortcake is! :) I'm guessing that by the time she is FOUR, she'll think that SHE gets to decide what she wants to be for Halloween!  (a princess, undoubtedly - *eyeroll* :) 

Of course the girls never both looked at the camera at the same time.  That amount of cuteness would have been too much for anyone to handle looking at over and over, I suppose.  Instead, here is a smattering of photos where everyone BUT Tanner & Ellery are looking at the camera :)

This photo looks like a photo of sisters, circa 1970.  Not sure why I think that, but I do, everytime I look at it! 

Tanner's going in for the smooch...I think.  Or maybe just knocking Elle over.

Sue & Wayne were in Denver because I had a conference the week before - the girls loved having them stay, and I KNOW they miss them (and their spoiling!) greatly!

I have long considered Halloween to be the kick-off event for the Holiday Eating Season.  With all the candy corn, chocolate, and sugar, it's the perfect beginning to gaining 5lbs, don't you think? :)  Hope you all had a great Halloween!  Next up, Turkeys!
