Falling!

To keep with the all-things-fall vibe I have going here, I thought I would share a few pictures of our girls playing outside, enjoying their little fall-selves.

A few Sundays ago, while I was inside napping for my nightshift, the girls made the usurpative decision to NOT nap.  Because they have this Great and Wonderful Daddy, he knew exactly what to do - take them outside and let them run their little booties ragged, that's what! :)

First, you have to help with chores, of course:

Kudos to John.  If you can't get them to nap, put them to work.

Ellery's efficiency at raking might be less than optimal.

And before it was all over, we had the "no-this-is-gonna-stay-a-pile, no-it's-not" Rake War of 2011.

After "chores," time for fun:

Oh she's just so daggum cute.

What fun is raking leaves into piles if you can't destroy them later? :)

She must be jumping?  Who knows.

Buried in leaves, no better way to be :)

While I was at work that night, this Great and Wonderful Daddy let them do yet another fun project:  Punkin Coloring!

It takes a lot of concentration to get the marker juuuuuussst riiiiight.

First clue I wasn't present for this fun project?  Blue marker on Ellery's neck.  Next clue?  Pretty much all of Ellery.  Before I started laundry the other day, I asked John, "What the heck happened to this shirt of Ellery's?" he responded, "Hmm...I don't remember."  Now I know.
I know I'm lucky to have such a great husbo and good Daddy to these two little beauties.  He even carved a pumpkin for them that night (scary, with pointy eyes, just like Tanner asked for :) If not for him, all they might know how to do is clean house and do laundry! :)

Hope you all are enjoying your autumn as much as we are! :)
